We are a small private practice providing online therapy and counselling services. We, as therapists and counsellors nurture relationships that help clients and therapists build rapport.

We build relationships through Trust, Listening, Respect, Empathy, Competence and Genuineness that helps make therapy more effective.

As a small private practice, we have the ability to offer therapeutic interventions that is best suitable for the client and adapt to their needs. Small practices like us form a community to support each other, mentor each other, hold each other accountable, and help each other take care of themselves.

I am Mithila Ballal

I am a Registered Psychotherapist and Dance/Movement Therapist.

I am not your typical therapist and I do not think therapy is ‘JUST CLINICAL’. I am real, approachable and non-judgmental. I am the kind of person who would not mind sharing my personal experiences with you thereby helping you know that you are not alone.

My main areas of practice are Anxiety, Depression, Grief and Trauma.

As a South Asian Therapist, I offer therapy in English, Hindi, Kannada, Tulu and Malayalam. I am currently accepting new clients for online therapy and counselling in Ontario.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist.

I believe that every person has their own story, one that is personal and unique. Sometimes these stories may be painful and if there is anything I have come to learn, it is that they deserve to be heard.

We all deserve to be heard and this is something I feel strongly about. I also recognize that in order for these stories to unfold, a certain type of environment must be created. I believe it takes a safe, warm, and nonjudgmental environment to which I am offering to my clients. A place for your story to be heard.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist Qualifying.

I offer a safe, caring, and non-judgmental space for clients to be and learn about themselves so they can move toward the life they want to live.

Through a collaborative therapeutic relationship, I help clients understand the issues that brought them to therapy, discover and expand their strengths, develop self-directed goals, and identify ways to achieve them.

My main areas of practice are Anxiety, Eating Disorders, Depression, Relationship Issues, Divorce, Family Conflict, Life Transitions and Marital and Premarital.

How often and for how long do I have to attend therapy sessions?

There is no set number of sessions you must attend. It is the client’s choice. Some clients have short term goals in mind. And once the goals are achieved, they end the therapeutic relationship. For some it is long term, and they would prefer attending sessions to discuss and navigate the different challenges in their life.

This is a personal choice at the same time it would be recommended to attend sessions frequently in the beginning and then spacing them out once you notice progress.

Do you offer sliding scale for Therapy and Counselling Services?

Yes, we offer sliding scale based on the client’s financial situation and if Ontario online therapy services are not covered by their insurance. The rate can be discussed with the therapist during the consultation session.

What is the cancellation policy for Therapy and Counselling Services?

One hour from the schedule is set aside for you and when there is a no show or a late cancellation, there will be a charge. Hence, you would be required to provide the clinic with 24 hours’ notice. If this is not provided, you would be charged a full fee.
